Juke IV: Flu Game-UAES EP Review

The duo that is Roy Kinsey and Theisy is something that the world is not ready for but you have to get prepared. Kinsey’s bars are so soul piercing and relatable that you often forget that his vulnerability and clever bar play is nothing to play with. The production that comes from Theisy fits with Kinsey’s steez so well that we are almost a little disappointed that this is just a EP. We need an entire album with nothing but joints coming from these two because the synergy is absolutely stunning to experience coming from these two. This new EP is a great example of what we mean..

“Juke IV: Flu Game” is some of the most powerful story-telling coming from a emcee and producer we have heard all year. We absolutely love the honest and heartfelt bars that Kinsey gives on every record. Roy Kinsey is leading this new wave happening Chicago not because he manifests spaces that highlight his community so well. It’s because he is a true advocate of every human being living in their truth at all times. Truly this EP is one of our favorites of 2024..

Our favorite records to play in the office are “Flu Game”, “MJ Story”, & “Ain’t Cheap (FLU GAME mix ) ft Theisy & Sick Stop..

Take a listen and let us know what you think..
