Bee Free-UAES Album Review

Hittz is a very unique artist because you can tell his flows and song structure are very specific and everything has a purpose. This artist has been working hard on not just the music, but he has been very focused on showing up in the community and being present for the growth of the scene/industry he’s in. Whether it’s building with legends like Jadakiss and Dave East, or locking in with legendary videographer APJ Films. Hittz moves in a way many artists cannot and it’s all for good reason. He was just apart of the Leagueboii project that was released earlier this year from the legendary late producer Iamsmylez and has been dropping records and projects all this past year as well. The Chatham native has a steez and sound that is very reflective of the city. What’s important to also say is that his sound is far from drill music but it’s something way more. His bar play and his choice of production makes him the perfect fusion of hip-hop that is coming from Chicago right now. He truly is the future of what the city is producing as far as music and story telling for the future. If you take the time to listen to his music you can immediately understand why most can’t keep up with him. This new project is a perfect example of this special sound coming from the artist and we are very excited to see what he has next..

“Bee Free” is a phenomenal 13 record project that speaks on the many things that can take place in the trenches and how one must overcome it no matter what. Hittz gives a stellar performance on each record that makes the listener understand his struggles and his losses and how he confronts them everyday to better himself and his family. With features from Femdot, Ju-Blick, Vory, Eli Hendrixx and others this project delivers a powerful sound that embodies melancholy, determination, and focus in a way only a artist from the trenches of Chicago could talk about..

Our favorite records to play in the office are “Blessings” ft Vory, “Rap God” ft Ju-Blick, “A Flight 2 Cali”, “Only Kings” ft Femdot, & “Hurting Inside”. Take a listen and let us know what you think..
