Cognitive Dissonance-UAES EP Review
Mira Raven’s sound is incredible. The neo-soul/jazz style she has is very telling of the steez of this amazing artist. She has been very busy working on different types of programs that help folks get into the music industry in city more. While this has been how she has been showing up in the community she shows up in a way that is very inspirational and needed for the future of the scene/industry. Her music is something to behold as each live performance she’s been doing has been amazing to watch. This new album she just released is cold and we suggest you all get in tune. Not because it’s really smooth and is a amazing blend of jazz and neo-soul. The reason why is because Raven has put six years of work into this project, We can assure you it was worth the wait..
“Cognitive Dissonance” is a serene project crafted of six records that are structured with eerie harmonies and warm vocals fused with lyrics that speak of love and many more emotions and affirmations one picks up by just living life. This project is very abstract and gives it’s own version of FKA Twigs but it’s soulful enough to really become it’s own cinematic experience..
Our favorite records to play in the office are “Hazy” ft Chris Webb, “Ring Ring”, & “They Only Call When” ft David Boykin. Take a listen and let us know what you think..
