Ifeanyi Elswith Drops Singles “Pretty Gyal Energy Remix” & “Outside”

Ifeanyi Elswith released the singles, “Outside (Gyal Dem)” (Ft. Dai, ADIA  and Don Knock and “Pretty Gyal Energy Remix” (Ft. Dai) last week Oct. 30, which is set to be released on her upcoming short EP Gyaltingz Nov. 19.

Boasting a Rap/Reggae style that features heavy pen work and shit talk, “Outside” is a fun island feel featuring Elswith’s sultry vocals and an effortless flow. Elswith’s talent on this track, even more so than the aforementioned highlights, is how well put together it is. We’re talking about a complete song with layered vocals, tastefully placed features, and a hook that has playback value you can envision on the radio.

Peep some of my favorite bars from “Outside” and make sure you check out the single.

“These rappers hiding in the dark, they don’t wanna see Dai

I knock ‘em out the park and have it showing on the replay

You dogs are all bark with the response, lit the spark

Now I got them all alarmed by the way I set it off.”

Dai.

Similarly, Pretty Gyal offers the same island vibe, showcasing her enchanting vocals and stellar pen game. For what it’s worth, it also proves that Ifeanyi and Dai need a collaboration project, given their chemistry. My only critique here is that it’s reminiscent of Saweetie, who has pretty much made the “Pretty Girl Music” aesthetic her niche.

Peep the chorus on “Pretty Gyal Energy Remix”:

“Pretty girl energy only

Me and my fly girl homies

Got nothin’ on me

This energy on me, on me.”

Elswith, a contemporary R&B vocal artist, is a Chicago resident who has been steadily building her profile in the Chicago creative scene for the past four years and the traction has been undeniable.

Since dropping her first project Everything Festyle in 2020, the songstress and rapper has worked with Darwin of Classick Studios, put her music on several DSPs, founded the hashtag & brand #GarifunaGirlMagic @GarifunaGMagic and has been moving with the intention of someone who believes they are a star – and it’s because she is one.

There is a clear authenticity from Ifeanyi Elswith that resonates and cuts through the speakers. Furthermore, she has a style that, while listening, makes you realize nothing is coming out of the city that sounds like this.

Before this double offering, Ifeanyi dropped the single “Foe Festyle” (The first and beginning of her fusions of Chicago Hip-Hop & Caribbean sounds) sometime in August. Since then, the track has garnered 456 views in just four months. Another testament to Ifeanyi’s rising interest in this is her traction on social media.  The visuals for “Foe Festyle”, which was shot by Valley Visuals, have 23 RTs and 53 likes – quite the traction for a budding star.

Elswith was nominated as one of the best R&B singers in the city by The Chicago Reader in 2023, meaning others are starting to catch along as well. Don’t be late on the Elswith bandwagon – there is still room.

She just had an exclusive listening session for her Gyaltingz EP dropping Nov. 19th with the help of the amazing Ambitious Entertainment, you can also pre save the link below for the project..

Take a listen to these records in the meantime and let us know what you think..
