Reconstruction-UAES Album Review

Jiggy Bars is truly a gem that lets his actions truly show his dedication to community work and bettering himself. This artist has been all over the country the last five years creating amazing music and taking up space for change building with Healthy Hood and some powerful community leaders and creatives. He has had an incredible year doing shows and working on new music for the world to hear. Jiggy’s ability to self reflect on his actions and his ability to craft so many sounds into one is amazing to say the very least. His recent album “Veracity” reflects truly polished bars complimented with great music composition. This new body of work is the same thing but elevated..

“Reconstruction” is a magnificent album that speaks to so much of the world’s current issues while also taking a hard look at self. Jiggy has created his own style of story-telling and the tales are very honest and morally driven on how to be a better human being moving forward. Each record shows Jiggy becoming very vulnerable while at the same time he speaks to the organizing work he does and a lot of the internal problems that can come along with it. His ability to fuse hip-hop, sonic surprising effects, & spoken-word sounds together is truly one of the reasons why Jiggy is leading the new Chicago wave. His responsibility as a father and creative of his community is forever described in his bars and it’s truly amazing to watch and listen to. We even get to see Bars show more of his multi disciplinary skills as far as singing on the last record with Nova Gholar. What we love is just how knowledgeable Jiggy is as he shows mad love to Chicago and it’s community work by featuring the legendary Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., he shouts out Chicago radio station Fusion radio, and also features amazing artists like Chairman Allen. This project is very well put together and can be played going down lake shore drive..

Our favorite records to play in the office are “Blackness” feat Chairman Allen, “Unspoken Thoughts”, “Wokring on Myself”, & Flow ft Nova Gholar..

Take a listen and let us know what you think..
