Go To Hell-UAES Album Review

Ashlee Bankz is truly a renaissance woman when it comes to the steez and the many different creative styles made up from her and the drill scene from the Chicago blog era. She was right there creating flows and records that helped create the momentum coming from a lot of those artists then that are more known now. If you’ve been keeping up with what she’s been doing musically she’s been the muse for a lot of your favorites right now. Her ability to construct records that have powerful and witty bar play, while at the same time also have soothing harmonies and melodies that transforms the music she creates is to be acknowledged. Bankz has always been on of those top teir artists many can’t keep up with..

She has had a amazing year dropping very memorable singles that was very telling of her dropping a new project, but even more importantly she has been letting the world know her history and why that is important for the future of the cities music scene/industry. Bankz has been very busy creating her foundation as she has been doing awesome shows and interviews all year. From being on radio stations Soul 106.3, Power 92, illanoize radio & others, to recently opening up for Fendi Da Rapper at Bassline, to being recently featured in the Chicago Reader. Bankz has been preparing to take over the city with her sound and impact. This new album is great example of that..

“Go to Hell” is a hard hitting eight record project that has some amazing bar play, great samples, beautiful harmonies, and amazing production. Bankz gives her very best on each record as she speaks on how to look out for yourself in the trenches and her climb to success and how she overcame hardships and letdowns to become the artist she is now..

Our favorite records to play in the office are “BITTERSWEET”,”IT DOESN’T MATTER”, & “PARKING LOT PIMP”. Take a listen and let us know what you think..
