Champion-UAES Song Review

Frsh Waters delivered his third solo single August 8 called “Champions” featuring fellow Pivot Gang associate MfN Melo.

“Champions” is inspirational listen with clear intentions to motivate. Before listening to the song, the track cover is a picture of an old-school boxing ring with gloves ties to one of the ring corners and in throughout the track such themes remain a constant:the sounding of a bell and lyrics that pairs well on a treadmill.

The chorus goes:

“I’ve been on ten toes from the dirt, try to hold me down but they know it don’t work,

so I had to work from the 1st to the 1st, down to get it proper we been poppin, I’m alert.”

MfN Melo’s addition to the track offers a nice change of pace and shows of his penchant for finding different pockets for flows.

“Can’t expect them to keep it true, if it really ain’t in ‘em” and “Life’s a movie, you don’t get five like Rocky,” are a couple of his stand-out bars.

Ultimately its a 2:22. Curious to see if the song is a piece to a bigger puzzle. Be looking out for more from Frsh..
