MVTE Is Ready To Pour Out Some“HOT SAUCE”
MVTE (pronounced mute) is back with a fuck you.
The North Lawndale native’s latest single “Hot Sauce”, released October 18, is the perfect post-break-up song, as she uses her skillful pen to both remind herself of her worthwhile letting .. whoever knows that they had her fucked up.
Peep these lyrics:
“You make me sick to my stomach
I see yo face, Im gone punch it
You started the shit, I’m gon flush it ....
I know my worth, I won't stick to your budget
Told you not to piss me off, cause imma diss in songs like this
you would say you’re a grown man but I see a full-grown BITCH”
Yeah, that’s why you don’t piss off rapper exes, especially if they’re as cold as MVTE.
Fresh off her collaborative deep house album with Rhea The Second titled Mamma’s House in June as well as a cold-blooded iLLSTYLE over Dreamville & Mac Miller Beats for iLLANOiZE Radio just two weeks ago, MVTE is more than proving she is one to be reckoned with on the Chicago music scene.
“Hot Sauce”, produced by funky.what, has even been added to Audiomack’s Trending playlist.
With a very distinct voice – one that I am growing to love myself, to be honest – and a rap style where you can hear her hunger in every bar, it’s no surprise the she’s apart of the New Chicago Wave of artists and community members focused on collaborating to produce music and create positive change for their communities in Chicago.
While some of the earliest material you’ll find on Apple and Spotify only date back to 2019, she began releasing her own music in 2017 and performing shows in 2018.
Make sure you check her out and run the song up if you’re fucking with it.
