The Ol Men Presents Lightweight Pimpin-UAES EP Review

If you didn’t know anything about the Chicago hip-hop community please understand it’s extremely powerful and a people power led space. We also need this to be said, the emcees apart of it can and will rap anyone from the world under the table. Even legends like Cameron have gone on record saying that Chicago has some of the best emcees in the world. If you don’t believe us just come to our city and catch a show..

One of the individuals continuing the legacy of our cities artform is the amazing Mr. Misfit. Misfit has been on a war path with releasing records that carry stories that are dark and very revealing of the city we live in. His ability as a story teller is truly incredible and we are so excited for him to keep dropping more amazing music that sets him apart from everyone else. This new project is a great example of that..

“The Ol Men Presents Lightweight Pimpin EP” is an incredible story about Chicago’s trenches that only Mr. Misfit can tell because he’s speaking from real human experience. With production from the legendary Tony Baines this project is truly already a classic. Just a friendly reminder, Tony Baines doesn’t work with just anyone. So the fact that Mr.Misfit got him to pop out is even more of a reason you should listen to this phenomenal project..

Our favorite records to play in the office are “Uncle Remus 4 Pre$ident”, “Vougues on the Continental”, & “Help Us”. Take a listen and let us know what you think..
