“From The Private Collection of Saba and No ID” shows love to the West Side of Chicago

Saba is the Westside Wizard of Chicago and we have known this about him for some time now. He has done nothing but get better with time with each body of work he has put into the world since the blog era. The Pivot Gang member has worked with some of the world’s very best and it still doesn’t explain the genius that’s built into Saba’s music specifically. The west side native has carved a very unique lane into hip-hop that doesn’t get talked about enough. Seriously, he really got sons out here because of his unique flow, tone, and creative ability. Each record and feature he contributes to is done is such a way it reflects the rare and generational greatness coming from artists claiming Chicago’s West Side. Saba doesn’t make music that’s of pop culture. He makes music that elevates what can be done as an emcee while also still being original. He has always spoken about human growth and how being from a family of musicians and a community of open mics like Youmedia & Young Chicago Authors has crafted him to be the artist he is. Saba is leading the new Chicago wave because of his dedication to be authentic and original with his approach to sound. You can’t deny how powerful Saba’s fanbase is in Chicago and around the world. This new body of work shows that and how even with all of the accomplishments Saba has, he’s still only just getting started..

“From The Private Collection of Saba and No ID” is a fifteen record album that shows real creative patience and beautiful song structure that shows just how talented and concise Saba is with creating albums that have impressive playback ability and outstanding no skip capability. This album has relatable perspectives on the black experience and personal testimony and built into bars that hit each time the records are played. Legendary producer No ID gives some of his very best work to date with this entire project being made by him. His ability to work with artists that bring the best out of his records is incredible to watch. You can tell the relationship Saba and No ID grew working on this project is very genuine and the music shows that..

Our favorite records to play in the office are “Stomping”, “Westside Bound Pt.4 ft MfnMelo”, “30secchop ft Joseph Chilliams”, “How to Impress God”, “She Called It ft Frsh Waters” & “Woes of the World”
